Many times people think of a treasure chest to be something from a fictional book. Something that a pirate hunts for to become rich. When the pirate in the story finds the treasure chest, the pirate doesn't know what is in it until it is opened. Treasure chest can come in many different sizes, shapes, and colors. It is the perception of the pirate to determine the value of treasure chest.
As an educator I think of all children of being a treasure chest. Children come in all different sizes, shapes, and colors. Some have disabilities that are visible and others have disabilities that you can't see. However, no matter what, they all are treasure chest that can be opened and provide riches to the world. Although some treasure chest are easier to open than others, when opened we can see the diverse gifts they offer. I believe that every child has their own treasure chest full of gifts that are worth more than gold. #autismspeaks #autistictreasures #autismsupermoms #earlychildhood #autismawareness #specialneeds #teachers #educators
